    Hoshizaki FM-120KE-50-HC 105kg Self-Contained Flake Ice Maker

The Hoshizaki FM-120KE-50-HC is a high-performance self-contained commercial flake ice maker producing approximately 105kg of premium flake ice every 24 hours at 21°C air / 15°C water conditions, with production reaching approximately 125kg per day under optimal conditions.

Hoshizaki flake ice has a light, soft texture that provides fast and even cooling. It creates a consistent temperature environment while helping prevent freezer burn, making it ideal for seafood displays, fish markets, supermarkets, fresh food counters, food preparation and commercial hospitality applications.

Unlike a modular ice maker, the FM-120KE-50-HC combines ice production and storage in one unit, with an integrated bin providing approximately 57kg maximum levelled storage capacity.

    Premium Hoshizaki Flake Ice

The FM-120KE-50-HC produces premium commercial flake ice with a light, soft texture that provides excellent contact with the product being chilled. Its shape allows the ice to cool quickly and evenly while being easy to spread, shape and layer around food.

This makes flake ice particularly useful where both temperature control and presentation are important, including seafood displays, fish markets, supermarkets and fresh food operations.

Ideal for Seafood & Fresh Food Displays

The soft and mouldable nature of flake ice makes it easy to create attractive chilled displays. It can be spread and layered around fresh fish, seafood, oysters and other temperature-sensitive foods, helping maintain effective cooling while presenting products attractively to customers.

Flake ice can also be easily reshaped and replenished throughout service, making it particularly practical for high-turnover fresh food displays.

    High-Volume Ice Production

Ice production varies according to ambient air and incoming water temperatures:

    10°C Air / 10°C Water Approx. 125kg / 24 Hours
    21°C Air / 15°C Water Approx. 105kg / 24 Hours
    32°C Air / 21°C Water Approx. 82kg / 24 Hours

    Integrated 57kg Ice Storage

As a self-contained flake ice machine, the FM-120KE-50-HC incorporates its own ice storage bin, eliminating the need to purchase a separate external storage bin.

The integrated bin provides approximately 57kg maximum levelled storage capacity, with a bin control setting of approximately 41kg. This creates a convenient all-in-one solution for businesses requiring both substantial ice production and storage.

    Hygienic Closed Water Circuit

The closed water circuit helps protect the ice-making process against contamination. Hoshizaki's automated water circuit rinse cycle also helps prevent mineral build-up within the hydraulic system while supporting hygiene and easier ongoing maintenance.

    Designed for Long-Term Commercial Operation

The FM-120KE-50-HC uses carbon graphite bushings instead of conventional ball bearings, allowing grease-free operation. Fewer moving parts help reduce wear and tear, while water-lubricated bearings assist in preventing calcification and bacterial contamination.

A worktime-based component replacement system can be monitored through the machine's control display, helping operators manage preventative maintenance and support reliable long-term operation.

    R290 Natural Refrigerant

The FM-120KE-50-HC uses R290 natural refrigerant, providing an environmentally responsible refrigeration solution while supporting efficient commercial ice production.

    Self-Contained Commercial Design

With ice production and storage combined into one machine, the FM-120KE-50-HC provides a practical solution for commercial operations that want to avoid a separate modular ice head and storage bin configuration.

Its plug-and-play design helps simplify installation, while the stainless steel construction is designed for demanding commercial environments.
